All in all, its a nice stop and I’ll see if I can’t plan for us to do more here next time we roll through on some alt characters. Darkstone Cryptograms are a new type of treasure map which you can search for in. There are a few BAMs fights (and one notorious one I’ll mention next post) but mostly we ran back and forth and did the bidding of two spoiled Elin Princesses until the plot thickened and we were sent to a really cool place called Eldritch Academy (more on this later). Speaking of story, we arrived here a level or two ahead of all our quests so we pretty much hopped on the fast track as we progressed through here. All the basic NPCs are inside so it makes this visit a very reasonable mainstay in the overall story plot. Like the area’s surrounding Popolion, the sky is forever night and the colors are cool and rich.

A giant tree which has been hollowed out and sits in the midst of a large pond is the center of Popori/Elin government. The ground alone are spectacular! Pora Elinu sparks memories of the great tree in Windhurst from FFXI (was that in the Windhurst Walls zone? Arg, can’t remember…). We visited this spot very briefly in an early testing phase and it was nice to be back. The next couple of entries are going to be another trip into a colorful wonderland of imagination. In terms of size itss smaller than Popolion, however it holds the monarchy of the Popori/Elin so maybe “capital” is the proper term. I suppose “capital” is a poor choice of words, because the extent of Pora Elinu is nothing like Velika, Castanica or the other two major capital cities. Now it’s back to the country of Poporia and to its capital Pora Elinu.
